Kristin McMillan, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, will be working at a local McDonald's to give Southern Nevada students a well-deserved break. On Friday, April 5, Kristin will volunteer as part of the 3rd Annual "Green for Grads" event to raise money for scholarships to help Southern Nevada students.

Kristin will help raise funds at the McDonald's located at 4135 S. Grand Canyon Parkway from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. by working behind the counter and sharing with customers the benefit of participating in the fundraiser. Show your support by visiting Kristin or any of the McDonald's locations across the valley this Friday. The annual all-day event is held by the Greater Las Vegas McDonald's Operator Association. From open to close that day, $1 from every Extra Value Meal purchased in Southern Nevada will go toward a Las Vegas scholarship fund to support local students.

The "Green for Grads" one-day event raised $49,000 in 2012, and directly benefits the local community by allocating 100 percent of the money raised to scholarships for Southern Nevada students. The scholarships are administered through the local Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas. For more information, visit rmhlv.com.
