Getting a Business License
What You Need to Know About Obtaining a Business License:
All businesses that operate inside the Las Vegas city limits must obtain a business license from the Nevada Secretary of State Office. This State business license grants you permission to engage in the business for which you are licensed. If you decide to engage in any other business, a new license must be obtained. To determine if your business falls inside the city limits contact the Secretary of State's Office 775.684.5708.
In the last few years, obtaining a business license has become more streamlined. Local and state governments have been working diligently to create a portal to obtaining all necessary licenses to ensure that businesses can open and operate.
