LVMCC pushes for federal issues that will boost Southern Nevada’s economy

Community leaders visited our nation’s capital last week to engage in conversations with elected officials and push for federal issues that will encourage growth in Southern Nevada’s economy.
The 2014 Chairman for the Metro Chamber, Bruce Spotleson, was among the leaders in Washington D.C. and went on-air to stress the importance of designating Tule Springs as a national monument. The House voted Thursday to declare Tule Springs as a government-protected national monument.
Spotleson also discussed the expansion of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA), the importance of securing funding for the Interstate 11 project, and why working to promote these projects is vital to the success of Nevada.

Sing-a-Long in Symphony Park

Las Vegas Metro Chamber colleagues joined with staff from The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Discovery Children’s Museum to sing “Home Means Nevada”, as part of a state-wide sing-a-long at 10:00 a.m. on October 30, 2014, to commemorate Nevada’s Sesquicentennial.
