The Metro Chamber has expanded its policy committees to connect you with the pressing issues facing employers and employees in Southern Nevada. Policy committees serve as forums for Metro Chamber members and their employees to learn about issues, share their perspectives, ask questions, and build relationships with others in the business community who share common interests, want to improve Southern Nevada, and make sure it remains a great place to do business.
All policy committees are open exclusively to Chamber members and their employees.

Supports, encourages, and helps advance projects of development or redevelopment in Southern Nevada. This committee will focus on the current economic development needs in Southern Nevada as well as what can be done to enhance regional competitiveness as the best place to do business.
Legal & Financial Services
Ensures members are educated on Nevada’s legal system for settling disputes, tort reform and environment for business-friendly litigation. Works with the financial industry to develop innovated practices in the market place.
Water, Energy, Public Lands & Natural Resources
Educates on environmental policies that are responsive to Southern Nevada’s unique needs. The committee is committed to investing in energy research, education, commercialization and energy policies. Committee promotes a vibrant and growing economy while maintaining our water and other natural resources.
Transportation, Infrastructure & Construction
Promotes and supports understanding, development, funding and implementation of infrastructure projects in Southern Nevada and examines statewide policies related to transportation, infrastructure and construction, including highways, bridges, waterways, transit, railways and runways, in addition to commercial and residential construction.
Healthcare & Insurance Policy
Leads in informing and educating employers, and employees to promote statewide access to high quality health care. The Committee gives members and their employees the opportunity to learn about and gain insight on key topics in the changing landscape of healthcare.
Education & Workforce Development
The business community is committed to supporting the development of a skilled workforce needed for regional economic growth. As our needs continue to increase in degree attainment and student achievement to ensure citizens can access the jobs of tomorrow. This committee will engage in primary, secondary and higher education issues focusing on quality schools, closing achievement gaps, and examines trends, policies, and areas of interest in the subject of workplace.
Gives members and their employees the opportunity to learn about local government issues that impact businesses. Members will hear presentations and have the opportunity to share their perspectives on important community issues. This committee works to favorably influence the actions of the local governments in Southern Nevada and enhance a positive business environment.
Exists to educate members on Nevada’s Congressional delegation on major strategic federal policy issues that impact global competitiveness and the ability for businesses to create and retain jobs.
Gaming & Tourism
Exists to promote policies that strengthen Las Vegas’ role as a leader in tourism. The committee recognizes the importance of tourism for economic development and prosperity in Las Vegas and supports policies that strengthen in this regard.
The Military Affairs Committee provides recognition to our local military community, which is comprised of active duty personnel, reserve personnel, veterans and their respective spouses and families; helps members of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce conduct more business with Nellis, Creech and the Nevada National Security Site; and encourages businesses to hire veterans.
