Qualifications for Voter Registration
You must meet the following qualifications in order to register to vote:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • At least 18 years of age by election day — you may register if you are 17 years old and will be 18 by the day of the next election
  • A Clark County resident for 30 consecutive days and the resident of your precinct for 10 consecutive days before election day
  • Not currently under sentence for any felony conviction
  • Military personnel and their dependents temporarily living outside of Nevada and Clark County resident temporarily living overseas must not be registered to vote in another state
  • Properly complete a Voter Registration Application in order to register to vote

Application Information Requirements
You must first meet the registration qualifications. Your application cannot be processed and you will not be registered as a Nevada voter until you furnish all of the following required information:

  • Name
  • Clark County residence address (not a post office box) — you must not list your business address unless you actually live there
  • Date of birth
  • Party affiliation
  • Signature
  • Driver's license number
  • Last four digits of your Social Security number

It is strongly recommended that military personnel and their dependents temporarily living outside of Nevada, and Clark County residents temporarily living overseas, complete and submit a "Registration and Absentee Ballot Request - Federal Post Card Application" (FPCA) instead of the Voter Registration Application. This will significantly streamline the process.

Where to Register

In Person:

You may register at:

  • The Clark County Election Department
  • Any City Clerk’s office
  • Selected government offices throughout the County
  • Before a Field Registrar (Field Registrars are volunteers trained to register qualified residents on behalf of the Registrar of Voters)

When registering in person, you must provide official identification as proof of residence and identity, such as a Nevada driver’s license or other official document.
