Clark County School District is the fifth largest school district in the country. In the 2007-2008 school years, the county had 308,554 students in 210 elementary schools, 59 middle schools and 45 high schools.
There are 27 alternative schools and eight special needs schools in the district. The average student/teacher ratio in Clark County is 21:1. The most recent Clark County School District reports can be viewed here (PDF.)
There are also a large number of private and parochial schools available from pre-K to high school offering you options when deciding on the best education for your children.
