President and Chief Executive Officer

The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is seeking a person of high integrity, ethics and character to fill the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The CEO reports to the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and is responsible for leading and growing a high-impact organization that has an unconditional commitment to serving and satisfying the needs of its members and building effective alliances with businesses, trade organizations, governments, political leaders, media and other stakeholders within the state. The CEO is responsible for the overall success of all aspects of the Chamber’s business functions and departmental operations including, among other things, developing and operationalizing the strategic vision and plans of the Chamber and overseeing membership expansion and retention, finance and budgeting, government affairs, marketing, communications and events. The CEO also is required to meet goals, budgets, metrics and financial objectives defined by the board and ensure a collaborative, team-oriented work environment that will attract and maintain a workforce of talented and satisfied team members. The CEO serves as the Chamber’s lead spokesperson and advocate and will demonstrate knowledge, experience, credibility and respect in matters of government and external affairs.

The successful candidate will possess significant business and political acumen, a strong connection with the state of Nevada and a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the business community here. As a critical thinker and problem solver, s/he will demonstrate the ability to address significant industry challenges and opportunities, connect with the emerging generation of businesses and markets and commit to diversity and multi-culturalism.
