LV Chamber Applauds Park Police Union for Accepting Pay Concessions

LAS VEGAS—The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce is issuing the following statement in response to the Clark County Park Police Association accepting pay and benefit cuts through June 30, 2011:

The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce applauds the members of the Clark County Park Police Association for their willingness to sacrifice part of their salaries and benefits for one year to help our community during these severe economic times. Agreeing to pay and benefit cuts for one year is a step in the right direction and a good example of putting community first, an example that we encourage other public employees’ unions to follow. We thank the Park Police for doing their part to help Clark County continue to deliver the programs and services upon which we all depend.
