The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Nevada State Bank, on Thursday honored 25 local businesses and nonprofits for innovating in the marketplace, creating a better community and making customers happy.

The awards were presented at the annual Business Excellence Awards luncheon, which was held at Paris Las Vegas.

Recognition categories include Trailblazers, Innovators, Pacesetters, Groundbreakers and Cultivators.

The awards recognized organizations, from sole proprietors and nonprofits to multinational Fortune 500 companies, that are utilizing creative approaches to doing business, finding new methods to promote company culture and developing innovative ways to carve out niches in the marketplace.

“We would not miss the chance to recognize the efforts of our local businesses and entrepreneurs,” said Cassaundra Johnson, SVP/director of sales for Nevada State Bank, co-presenter of the awards. “They are creating jobs, adding value to their community and helping Southern Nevada rebuild. We truly enjoy celebrating their success and giving them the opportunity to shine in the spotlight.”
