The University of Nevada Las Vegas College of Business, in partnership with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the start of the forth cohort in the Business Essentials: Executive Certificate in Business Administration program this fall.
This excellent continuing education opportunity is designed to educate business owners, managers and professionals with the same principles and knowledge taught in an MBA program. The highlights of this program include:

The program is perfect for:

• Professionals who might be considering business school
The program is flexible and designed to fit your busy schedule. It consists of 16 topics offered over four two-day sessions.
Participants have up to two years to complete all sessions. That means if you are unable to attend one of the sessions, you can make it up with no penalty the next time the session is offered.
The program sessions are taught by leading professors from UNLV College of Business. The session modules consist of the following:
Module I: People This module covers the leadership skills you need to effectively manage your workforce. Session topics include business leadership, managing people, conflict resolution, and managing change and transformation.
Module II: Processes This module will educate you on the processes and systems that are essential to operating a healthy business. Session topics include budgeting and reporting, marketing, supply chain management, and information systems.
Module III: Environment This module helps you understand many aspects of the business environment. Session topics include the economy, business and society, business law, and international business.
Module IV: Money This module covers all the essentials to managing business finances. Session topics include the market process, strategy and planning, corporate finance and accounting.
As a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, you are eligible for a special discounted tuition of $3,595 (regular tuition is $3995) if you mention your Chamber membership when registering. Tuition covers the courses and all related expenses including instruction, course materials, books, meals and parking. You can also enroll in any two-day module for $999 and have that amount applied to the full tuition if you decide to complete the entire certificate program.
In addition to the Executive Certificate in Business Administration from the UNLV College of Business, you will also earn up to 5.6 continuing education units (CEUs) based on attendance. There is open admission to the program and no examinations or assignments are required to graduate from this program.
The modules in the fall will be held on Friday/Saturday, September 25 & 26, October 9 & 10, October 23 & 24, and November 6 & 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at UNLV’s Stan Fulton Building.
An information session for this program will be offered on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at UNLV's Paradise Campus, located at 851 E. Tropicana Avenue.
