Biz PAC- Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee

The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce government affairs staff works closely with policymakers to keep the interests of the Southern Nevada business community in the forefront of decision-making discussions on the local and state levels of government. To keep up such efforts, the Chamber relies on BizPAC, its Political Action Committee. Funded by the generous contributions of Chamber members, BizPAC allows the Chamber to aggressively advocate for government fiscal restraint and accountability on behalf of the business community.

  • BizPAC helps elect business-friendly policymakers
  • BizPAC works to pass laws that protect business
  • BizPAC insures your interests are kept in front of elected officials

The most powerful way to contribute to the political efforts of the Chamber is to invest in BizPAC.

Individual members leverage their political clout by pooling their BizPAC investment with more than 1,000 other businesses for a stronger voice. BizPAC allows the Chamber to be an influential, active organization that lawmakers must take seriously and counts on member support to achieve these efforts.

Here are some of the Chamber's recent accomplishments BizPAC contributed to:

  • Successfully advocated for major public policy changes in reforming Nevada's public employee retirement and benefits programs during the 2009 Legislative Session
  • Successfully advocated in Carson City for transparency and accountability in the collective bargaining process
  • Successfully worked with City of Las Vegas leaders to kill a proposed increase in business-related fees
  • Testified against increasing the state unemployment tax on businesses
  • Ensured 83% of Chamber-endorsed candidates won the 2008 general election
  • Ensured timely and continuing representation in Washington, DC to fight the harmful Employee Free Choice Act legislation, or Card Check
