Chamber Councils and Committees

The Chamber Committees and Councils are comprised of Chamber members who are committed to the values and vision of the Chamber of Commerce. These members have volunteered their time, energy, and talents to ensuring the continued success of business in Las Vegas .

Business Council
The Business Council is an elected board consisting of 26 leaders in various industries throughout our community. They are the oversight body for dynamic and well-established programs designed to educate and enhance businesses.

Customer Service Excellence Committee
The Business Council's CSE Committee has a critical role in the success of the Customer Service Excellence program. The Committee assists with recruiting new participants, coordinating and planning events, hosting quarterly ceremonies and communicating the features and benefits of the CSE program to the community at large. The Committee is responsible for planning the annual recognition luncheon that attracts more than 800 attendees.

Expo Committee
This committee is a vital part of coordination, planning and executing the Las Vegas Chamber’s business trade and networking event held annually mid-year. Business Expo attracts over 2000 attendees and allows Chamber members a unique opportunity to market their company in a high-energy networking and trade show setting.

Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is a 17-member volunteer committee of various business leaders in the community who meet monthly to guide the Chamber in its political endeavors such as in the selection of those who represent the best interests of business through candidate endorsements, contributions and grassroots campaign support.

Leadership Council
The Leadership Council is the governing body of the leadership programs. Council terms are one year from July 1 – June 30 with the exception of the Chair who serves three terms. Meetings are held monthly.

Navigators
Chamber Navigators are a group of veteran Chamber members whose goal is to make personal contact with the new members assigned to them, share tips for successful networking and assist these new members with opportunities to maximize their membership. Navigators are the hosts of the Business After Hours.

Prospectors
The Prospectors are comprised of thirty long-standing Chamber members who serve as the "ambassadors" of the Chamber. They serve as hosts of New Member Breakfasts, the Board of Trustees' Installation and Chamber Night at Spring Mountain Ranch. Prospectors serve an indefinite term on the board and are elected by a majority vote by the Prospector board.
