The Chamber is the voice for your business in government. The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) actively develops and promotes policy positions on critical issues impacting the business community, as well as continuously asserts its role as the leading business organization in the state on your behalf on all levels of government. The Chamber:

• Promotes policy priorities that support the expansion of business.
• Protects employers.
• Commissions thorough, ongoing policy reports and research.
• Furthers economic development.

In addition, the GAC monitors and addresses public policy and legislative issues at the local, state and federal levels of government as they relate to the interests of Chamber members and the business community in Southern Nevada. The Government Affairs Committee meets monthly to discuss key issues under consideration at all levels of government.

The Leadership Las Vegas Council maintains the recruitment and selection process for incoming classes, as well as oversees individual committees to determine curriculum, day planning and alumni activities.

Chamber Navigators are a group of experienced Chamber members who help new members acclimate to their new membership and introduce them to the various benefits of a Chamber membership. Navigator of the Year

Throughout 2011, Eliza Budiarto made over 1,200 contacts with new members, including  personal meetings, check-in phone calls and recommending specific events for new members with different goals of their Chamber membership. She personally attended over 45 events throughout the year, where she helped members connect with one another.
